Main Differences Between Silk Screen Printing Machine Printing and Other Machines
Silk Screen Printing Machine Printing is different from others by following
1) Strong printing adpatability.
Usually flat printing, letterpress printing, gravure printing method are applied to print on plane substrates. Silk Screen Printing could not only apply printing on plane surface, but also curved surface, spherical and concave & convex surface. In addition, besides direct Silk Screen Printing, we could adopt indirect printing method, for example, with silk screen printing on the gelatin or silicone version firstly, and then transfer to the substrates. Thus, we conclude as below Silk Screen Printing has strong printing adaptability and could wildly apply to each different field
2) Thick ink layer , strong stereo sense, rich printing texture
Offset and letterpress ink layer thickness is commonly 5 microns, gravure is 12 microns, flexible printing (aniline) ink thickness is 10 microns, however, Silk Screen Printing ink layer thickness is far more than the ink layer thickness, generally up to 30 microns. Special circuit board with thick silk screen printing, ink layer thickness could be up to 1000 microns. With foam ink printing braille point, ink layer thickness could be up to 300 microns. All of these features to Silk Screen Printing is comparely stronger than others. Besides, Silk Screen Printing not only can make monochrome printing, also can undertake chromaticity and color printing.
3)Strong light fastness and bright color
Silk Screen Printing has the characteristics of the bearing, so it can be used to all kinds of printing ink and coating, not only can use the slurry, adhesive and various kinds of pigments, also can use coarser particles of paint. Furthermore, the mixing method of Screen Printing ink is simple. For example, we can put the light pigments directly to mix with the ink, this is the another big characteristic of Silk Screen Printing. Screen printing products has very strong advantage of light fastness. The practice shows that by impressing the black ink in coated paper ,the measured maximum density range to be compared by digit number as following , offset printing is 1.4, gravure printing is 1.6, embossing printing is 1.8 , and the maximum density value of the silk screen printing range can be up to 2.0. Therefore, the light fastness of Silk Screen Printing products is stronger than others, and more suitable for outdoor advertising, signs.
4 )Large Printing Area
The general offset printing and letterpress printing area is full sheet size . The screen printing can print the most significant area up to 3 m × 4 m, or even larger.
These four points are the difference between Silk Screen Printing and other printing, but also the characteristics and advantages of screen printing. Understanding the characteristics of screen printing, printing on the selected method, you can avoid weaknesses, highlighting the advantages of screen printing to achieve better results
